How it all started...

We’re MJ Essentials Co — two women who met while working in the industry, bonded over big dreams, and never looked back. What began as a friendship over coffee runs (and maybe a few venting sessions) quickly turned into a partnership built on passion and purpose. After spending 10 amazing years building another company, one of us decided it was time for something new — and the other was immediately on board. We saw the gaps in our industry: products that missed the mark, service that lacked heart, and a need for a little more genuine care. So, we rolled up our sleeves and created MJ Essentials Co: a female lead, Indigenous lead, B2B supplier that’s here to do things differently — with integrity, knowledge, and a whole lot of enthusiasm.

Why we do what we do

Our mission is simple: to make business feel personal again. We care (a lot!) about our clients, our products, and our community. We’re obsessed with quality and passionate about helping local businesses grow with confidence. Whether we’re sourcing products, sharing knowledge, or cheering our partners on, we do it all with intention and authenticity. We’ve been in your shoes — we know that expert guidance, clear communication, and reliable service can make all the difference. So we’ve built MJ Essentials Co to be that dependable partner you can call, message, or grab coffee with when you need real solutions. We’re here to help you shine — because when you succeed, we do too.

our heart and values

At the core of MJ Essentials Co is community — it’s what fuels everything we do. We’re passionate about shopping local, supporting local, and lifting others up along the way. As proud members of Local Companies that Care, we believe in building strong connections, celebrating each other’s wins, and giving back wherever we can. Being both female and Indigenous entrepreneurs, representation and inclusivity aren’t just buzzwords to us — they’re part of who we are. We love collaborating, learning, and having a bit of fun while doing it all. To us, business shouldn’t just be transactional — it should be meaningful, empowering, and a little bit joyful.
